What's your Enneagram type?

As I was surfing the internet, I found a blog about Enneagrams last night, and I became intereseted reading it. I am not done reading the whole blog posts (it was too long! hehe), but I thought I might share it here too.

There are apparently 9 types of personalities, each defined by a certain ego fixation.
The 9 types are:

Type 1: The Reformer - To be good, to have integrity, to be balanced.
Type 2: The Helper - To feel loved.
Type 3: The Achiever - To feel valuable and worthwhile.
Type 4: The Individualist - To find themselves and their significance (to create an identity).
Type 5: The Investigator - To be capable and competent.
Type 6: The Loyalist - To have security and support.
Type 7: The Enthusiast - To be satisfied and content—to have their needs fulfilled.
Type 8: The Challenger - To protect themselves (to be in control of their own life and destiny).
Type 9: The Peacemaker - To have inner stability "peace of mind."

After taking the quick online test, this is apparently my enneagram type.

Enneagram Type 4 - The Individualist
Identity seekers, who feel unique and different

People of this personality type tend to build their identities around their perception of themselves as being somehow different or unique; they are thus self-consciously individualistic. Fours tend to see their difference from others as being both a gift and a curse - a gift, because it sets them apart from those they perceive as being somehow "common," and a curse, as it so often seems to separate them from the simpler forms of happiness that others so readily seem to enjoy. Thus, Fours can manage to feel superior to others while also secretly harboring some degree of longing and envy. A feeling of being a member of the "true aristocracy" alternates with deep feelings of shame, and fears of somehow being deeply flawed or defective.

Fours are emotionally complex and highly sensitive. They long to be understood and appreciated for their authentic selves, but easily feel misunderstood and unappreciated. They have a tendency to withdraw in the face of a world that seems harsh or crude, and are often somewhat moody or temperamental. They are emotionally centered and spend much of their lives immersed in their internal mental landscapes, where they feel free to cultivate and analyse their feelings. A desire to manifest this internal world often leads Fours to an interest in the arts, and some do become actual artists. Whether artistic or not, however, most Fours are aesthetically sensitive and concerned with self-expression and self-revelation, whether it be in the clothes they wear or in the overall nature of their often idiosyncratic lifestyles.

Fours are somewhat melancholic by disposition, and under stress tend to lapse into depression. They also tend to be self-absorbed, even under the best of circumstances, but when unbalanced, easily give way to a self-indulgence which they perceive as being fully justified as a way to compensate for the general lack of pleasure they experience in their lives. Rather than look for practical solutions to their difficulties, Fours are prone to fantasizing about a savior who will rescue them from their unhappiness.

Intellectual Fours tend to mistakenly type themselves as Fives, and a heavy wing can certainly exacerbate this tendency. Fours however, unlike Fives, tend to be self-revealing and comfortable with emotional expression.

I think it is 90% true!

I am a Mother. Enough said.

I have been very proud of my daughter (and myself) because she hasn't had a major sickness and fever (just a few hours of runny nose during winter). But after a year and half, the daughter had roseola and now she has low grade fever and cough.. :(
Whenever there's something that bothers me, etc., or whenever she's sick, there's this site that I find very helpful for a first time mommy like me.

It's : babycenter.com

It's really helpful to check your child's milestones, learn how to handle your child's behaviors, what's a fun way to play with your toddler, what to do when your child's not feeling well, etc. I wouldn't know what I would do without it.. (and the search engines) Because let's admit, that sometimes, we just can't figure it out by ourselves! (did you know that honey could soothe cough? just add a tbsp of honey and lemon to warm water!)  Haha. I find it a waste of time and money to go to the doctor and ask, then get answers that you could easily find on the internet. I also want to check and see things first if it's necessary to go the doctor.

Some people and some oldies, are not really in favor of my ways, but hey, mothers knows best, and that's my style. :p

Outlet Shopping

We went to Rinku Premium Outlet last saturday, and I never thought it would be this fun! The husband and I enjoyed it a lot! Hehe. He bought a couple of shirts from lacoste and tommy hilfiger for unbelievably low prices, while I bought clothes for the daughter from gap that are so so cheap, a Tfal small frying pan for the house (haha), AND, a bag for myself!
I think I have already said in this blog how I fell in love with Kate Spade stuffs.. I just love that they are really affordable compared to other brands, and I find that their recent designs are really my type. They're super cute!

I ended up buying this (another) white bag (when I said I'd buy a gold one). Oh well, you could never have too many pretty bags, right (really, now? ;p)?!

Now I'm contemplating if I should just give my prada wallet to the husband (since he's thinking of buying a new one and he said he like my wallet), and buy a new Kate Spade wallet. Yea, does it sound like I'm just making an excuse? Lol. Either way, I want to collect Kate Spade items and I'm giving up on my first love, Prada (but buying once in a while won't hurt, eh?) coz they are too expensive! Hehe.

Good luck to me! ;p
