Arashi's 24 Hours TV

Every year, there are two television networks that hosts a 24 hours tv telethon to promote charity. They hold a theme every year to raise money and awareness.

The group, Arashi was this year's main personality for one of the 24 Hours TV, and this year, the show's theme was, "Future".
As there were many natural disasters the past years, the show focused on facing today's reality to take a step to the future.

They covered topics such as those people that are affected by the tsunami, those parents that lost their child to a disease without a cure, those children that lost their parent at a young age, those that are abused when they were a child, those that are simply trying to go on with their lives and hopes that someday they're lives would somehow be near to normal after a life changing incident.

Imagine how those people felt so helpless and hopeless? Losing their child in front of their eyes, not knowing what to do next with their lives. Those people not even recognizing the feelings that rushes inside their minds and hearts and how to assimilate them. Some people are now the people that they are because of an incident that they cannot and would not leave them, and will be at the back of their minds forever. I was moved by every story and couldn't help see and relate it with my own life. You see, I easily get hit by paranoia. I am the kind of person that some may say is exaggeratedly careful. So imagining what if I have some kind of a disease, or what if my daughter gets into an accident, or what if my husband dies before me, etc., is nothing really new. But this show made me think somehow a bit differently, I learned something about my self that I myself did not knew, and it made me think a little bit more positively...

No, I won't get into details because I find it too embarrassing.

So I'm just sharing a message that my (now? I also like Sho.) favorite Arashi member, Ninomiya Kazunari said:

"When today becomes tomorrow, that's the future. It may be the future in 10 or 20 years, but tomorrow and the day after tomorrow are the future too. That's why I live with all my might today. Because I don't want to regret doing my very best today, even if a tomorrow I didn't wish comes. Our FUTURE is definitely TODAY. With that in mind, I do my best to live today."

Honestly, I was excited to see the show just because Arashi is hosting it, and I get to see their talks and performances. Well who wouldn't with their attractive personalities and cute faces? Haha. No wonder they are the top selling male group now in Japan.

But it turned out, the message it brought was a perfect timing for my current self. :)

Okay!
Now back to my fan girl mode, here are some Arashi photos I took! Hihi ;p

New Hairstyle + What I Wore

Finally had my hair done last saturday, now this is what my hair looks like. Posted a before photo too just so people would see the difference in case, and also because I love how I did my make up that day. Hehee

I had my hair trimmed, color plus lowlights, digital perm and treatment. I was planning to color my hair ombre, but I didn't want to bleach my hair since I'm perming my hair too on the same day and I don't want to damage my hair too much.
Apparently, my hair is too dark and thick so it's hard to lighten it with normal hair coloring.

aah, what a perfect angle and lighting can do. LOL!

So there.. It looks a bit more brown on the photo than in really is, so I'm thinking of having highlights (already using bleach this time) because I still find it a bit boring.

I'm also posting my outfit on that day. I paired a beige top with a coral orange sleeveless blouse, with a light gray denim pants, and a gold boat heel sandals. I added gold, wood and brown accessories. :)
I really love these pants since you can pair it with any color. Just choose which tone/hue you'd pair it with. I tried a black/gray tone the last time, now this one is an more on the orange hues, I want to try a blue hues next :)

Frosted Crackled Nails

A few weeks ago, I bought a new nail polish from Canmake. I wanted to use it on our Salon Day with my friend which is going to be tomorrow! Hihi.
I've been intrigued with the cracked nail polish from OPI, but I find it a waste of money since the trend might not last long, so I'm glad I saw this cheap Crack Lac Nail from Canmake.

Here are the steps: First paint your nails with the base color. I chose a reddish pink one that I borrowed from our store manager. ;) Then coat it with a white Crack Lac Nail (I think they also had black, pastel green and pink). Double coat it with translucent shimmery/glittery nail polish. I'm using an aqua blue glittery polish today.

I think it's a bit different from the other cracked nail polishes because you need a base color first before coating it with Crack Lac Nail. I prefer it more since you just need to change the base and top color and the design variations are endless! :)

And, you actually do not need to do this in one day. I painted my nails red about 2 days ago, then coated the Crack Lac just yesterday, and I just added the glittery one a while ago, and I'm adding a gel top coat later tonight. It's perfect for someone who easily gets tired/bored like me (and yes, lazy), you don't need to remove your first polish to achieve a new look. Just top a coat after a few days, and if it goes well, you polish would last for more than 2 weeks! Hehee

I know I should use my camera for better photos, but I'm (yea, yea) just too lazy. :p

Salad salad saladaa!

Last sunday, my friend and I, with our daughters had a salad and ice cream bonding at our home. So I thought I'd share the recipes of the salads that we made because, well who doesn't love salads? It's healthy, yummy, and perfect for summer! :)

For my apple chicken macaroni salad,
you need: 1 small cubed apple, 150g elbow macaroni, 30-40g cubed cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, and half onions cubed(optional), salt and pepper to taste.
*boil macaroni, and mix all the other ingredients!

As for the pumpkin yogurt salad with almonds,
you need: half of medium or small sized pumpkin, 2tbsp yogurt, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup almonds, 20-30g cubed cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
* boil pumpkins for about 15-20 mins, mash them, then mix all the other ingredients!

Lastly, for the tomato and lettuce salad,
you need: about 4-5 leaves of lettuce, 10 pcs of mini tomatoes, salted potato chips, and french dressing.
* tear lettuce into bite size, cut tomatoes into half, crumble potato chips, put them on a plate then drizzle french dressing!

I was laughing while typing these salad recipes. It is so easy! (to do and to type so lahat naka exclamation point talaga! haha) You just need to mix mix mix! There's no reason for anyone not to try! ;)
