I saw a chicken dumpling recipe on TV last week, I wanted to try!
I tweaked it a bit to my liking and added/changed some ingredients. :)
You'll need about 300g of minced chicken meat, 1/4 (about 1 1/2 cup) cabbage, 1tbsp salt, half a stick of finely chopped spring onions, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1tsp grated ginger, 2 tbsp bread crumbs or 1 tbsp cornstarch, and 1 tsp sesame oil.
:Put salt on the cabbage and knead to take away excess moisture. You might want to wash it again then microwave it a few seconds too.
Mix all the other ingredients with the cabbage and wrap with the dumpling wrapper.
Steam on boiling water for about 8-10 minutes.
Make sure to not overcook so the meat won't be dry and flaky.
I love the crunchy texture of the cabbage and not to mention it's healthier.
